Teeth Whitening

Brighten your smile with professional in-office whitening — safe, predictable, and tailored to your teeth.

We provide office whitening only — no take-home kits — because in-office treatment produces more reliable results under direct supervision, with the lowest risk of sensitivity.

When You May Want Whitening

Not all discoloration responds equally to whitening. Here are the situations where whitening typically works well.

Coffee, Tea, and Wine Stains

Daily consumption of coffee, tea, red wine, and dark-colored foods leaves staining on the tooth surface over time. These external stains respond very well to professional whitening — often the most dramatic improvements are seen here.

If your tooth color has gradually darkened over years of coffee or tea drinking, whitening can typically restore much of that lost brightness.

Natural Yellowing with Age

As we age, the outer enamel naturally thins and the inner dentin (which is naturally yellowish) shows through more. Combined with years of accumulated staining, teeth gradually appear less bright.

Whitening can effectively address age-related yellowing, restoring much of the brighter appearance of younger teeth.

Stains from Smoking

Tobacco use is one of the most aggressive causes of tooth discoloration. The yellow-brown staining accumulates on enamel and is difficult to remove with brushing alone.

Professional whitening can significantly reduce these stains — though continued tobacco use will gradually return them. Tobacco-related stains often require more whitening sessions than other types of discoloration.

What Sets 365 E-LOOK Apart

Whitening should be effective and safe — not aggressive. Here’s how we approach it.

Adjusted to Your Teeth

We don’t apply a one-size-fits-all whitening protocol. The number of sessions, agent concentration, and exposure time are all adjusted based on your starting tooth color, sensitivity, and goals.

Some patients see good results after 1 to 2 sessions; others may need 3 to 4 for more stubborn stains. We progress carefully session by session, monitoring how your teeth respond between visits.

Minimal Sensitivity

Tooth sensitivity is the most common concern with whitening — but in our experience, it’s rarely an issue. Even patients who’ve completed 3 to 4 sessions with us almost never report needing additional sensitivity treatment.

We carefully isolate and protect your gums during each session, control whitening agent concentration, and watch for any early signs of sensitivity. Desensitizing agents are available if needed, though most patients never require them.

Honest Recommendations

Whitening doesn’t work the same on every type of discoloration. Some stains respond well; others don’t. Some teeth — like those with old fillings or visible crowns — won’t change color even with treatment.

We give you an honest assessment of what whitening can and can’t do for your specific teeth before starting. Setting realistic expectations leads to better satisfaction with the results.

What to Expect

Each whitening session takes about an hour. Many patients complete treatment in 1 to 2 sessions; some choose more for additional brightening.

Step 1 — Consultation & Pre-Treatment

Your first visit begins with an examination to identify the type of discoloration, evaluate whether whitening will be effective for your case, and check for cavities or gum issues that should be addressed first.

If significant tartar or staining is present, we recommend a professional cleaning before starting whitening — clean teeth respond better and more evenly to the whitening agent.

Duration: about 30 minutes for the consultation.

Step 2 — In-Office Whitening Session

Your gums and lips are carefully isolated and protected with a barrier. The whitening agent is then applied to the front surface of your teeth and activated with our specialized LED light.

Each application lasts 15 to 20 minutes, and we typically perform 2 to 3 applications per visit. Throughout the session, we monitor for any early signs of sensitivity and adjust if needed.

You may notice a brighter result immediately after the session, though full color stabilization takes 24 to 48 hours.

Duration: about 60 to 90 minutes per session.

Step 3 — After-Care Guidance

After your session, we provide guidance on how to maintain your results — including which foods and drinks to avoid for 24 to 48 hours (when teeth are most receptive to staining), and tips for keeping your smile bright long-term.

If additional sessions are recommended, we typically schedule them 1 to 2 weeks apart for optimal results.

Duration: about 5 to 10 minutes.

Common Questions About Teeth Whitening

How long do whitening results last?

Results typically last 6 months to 2 years, depending on your habits and lifestyle.

Factors that shorten longevity:
· Regular consumption of coffee, tea, red wine, or dark-colored foods
· Smoking
· Poor oral hygiene
· Natural aging

Many patients return for a maintenance session every year or two to refresh their results. Even without maintenance, your teeth will still be noticeably brighter than before treatment.

Most patients see good results after 1 to 2 sessions. More stubborn stains — particularly tobacco-related staining or deeply set discoloration — may require 3 to 4 sessions for full results.

We assess your starting color and goals, then progress carefully. We never push for more sessions than necessary; if you’re satisfied after one session, that’s where we stop.

Sensitivity is the most common concern about whitening, but in our experience, it’s rarely an issue. Even patients who’ve completed 3 to 4 sessions with us almost never report needing additional sensitivity treatment.

We carefully protect your gums, monitor for any early signs of sensitivity during the session, and have desensitizing agents available if needed. Most patients experience little to no discomfort.

If you naturally have sensitive teeth, let us know during your consultation — we can adjust the protocol to minimize discomfort.

For 24 to 48 hours after each session, your teeth are more receptive to staining. We recommend avoiding:

· Coffee, tea, red wine, dark sodas
· Berries, tomato sauce, soy sauce, curry, beets
· Smoking and chewing tobacco

Light-colored foods (chicken, white rice, pasta with light sauce, water) are good choices during this window.

After 48 hours, you can return to normal eating. Continued moderation of staining foods will help your results last longer.

Whitening only changes the color of natural teeth — it doesn’t affect crowns, fillings, or other restorations.

If you have visible restorations on front teeth, they’ll stay the same color while your natural teeth get brighter. This can sometimes create a noticeable mismatch.

We’ll evaluate your specific situation honestly before starting. In some cases, replacing certain restorations after whitening (so they match your new tooth color) may be the better long-term approach.

Ready for a Brighter Smile?

Whether you want a noticeable change for a special occasion or steady, gradual improvement — professional whitening is a safe, predictable way to brighten your teeth.

A consultation with examination applies a fee, as we evaluate the type of discoloration and whether whitening will be effective for your specific case. With that information, we’ll explain expected results, recommended sessions, and costs clearly.
